Subjects Taught

I am a native of Montezum, GA, home of the Mighty Macon County Bulldogs. I attended Fort Valley State University for one year. Then, I transferred to Middle Georgia College where I acquired an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science Degree. Next, I attended Georgia Southwestern State University where I acquired the following degrees: Bachelors in Middle Grades Education, Masters in Middle Grades Education, and Specialist in Middle Grades Education.

I have been teaching in the Sumter County School System for 21 years. I have worked at Sumter County Middle School (16yrs.), Staley Middle School (3 yrs.), Americus-Sumter County High North Campus (1 yr.), and Americus-Sumter County High South Campus (1 yr.).

I am a native of Montezuma, GA, home of the Mighty Macon County Bulldogs. I am currently teaching 7th and 8th graders Math Support at Sumter County Middle School. I am married to my wonderful husband Rod and I have two sons, Jaylan and Jamal. They are the loves of my life. I enjoy teaching. By choosing this career, I am empowered to teach the youth who will soon be our leaders of tomorrow. Teaching is a chosen career that doesn't end when you leave work. It follows you wherever you go. It is everlasting. I didn't just choose to teach; teaching chose me!
