I received my Associate of Science degree from Darton College. After my Associates degree I went on to Georgia Southwestern State University for my Bachelors of Education. I majored in Special Education grades Pre-K through 12th with a minor focus in Reading.

I completed a teaching internship at Crisp County Middle school in 6th grade Special Education during 2011. My student teaching experience was at Southwestern Elementary School, in Cordele, teaching 4th grade Special Education.  This is my seventh year of teaching and I am excited to start the new year with new students. I previously taught 6th grade at Staley Middle School and have moved on to teaching a group of special learners ranging from grades 7th - 8th. This will be my fifth year teaching Self-Contained Special Education. My goal for this year is to be a successful teacher to my students. My goal for our students is to become successful individuals. I look forward to having a wonderful year!

My name is Heather Singley and I have been a Special Programs teacher in Sumter County for six years. I live here in Americus with my wonderful husband and many pets. While I am not at school I spend most of my time outdoors, traveling, or helping out with my family's business.
